A new U.S. corrugated industry life cycle assessment (LCA) study shows a significant 32 percent reduction per unit in the industry’s greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions between 2006 and 2010. Additionally, the industry improved in other environmental impact indicators.
WASHINGTON, D.C. (June 6, 2013) In 2012, 91 percent (29 million tons) of the corrugated packaging used in the U.S. was successfully recovered or recycling, maintaining its top position as the most-recycled packaging material.
